The private initiative proposes to expand the current network, which consists of seven (7) medical centers located in Azua, San Francisco de Macorís, San Pedro de Macorís, Santo Domingo, and Santiago, where patients with chronic kidney disease receive treatment. The proposed comprehensive service focuses on patients undergoing this treatment, who are referred by the National Health Service (SNS) based on their internal requirements, with a national scope. Considering that this type of therapy is administered by the patient at home, these patients are evaluated at a center belonging to the national network hospitals, suitably equipped by the private agent, for patient training and the placement of a Peritoneal Dialysis catheter. Currently, the existing centers have been designated by Dominican government authorities, and they have a national scope regarding the provision of the service.
