The green roofs project aims to install solar panels on the rooftops of public buildings, managed by an intelligent energy efficiency system that will generate renewable energy and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. This project will focus on government buildings and schools in the Dominican Republic to maximize the impact in terms of reducing carbon emissions and lowering energy costs for the government.
The proposal develops a smart buildings program for the public sector that contributes to saving money, improving spending efficiency, and reducing CO2 emissions in major cities like Santo Domingo and Santiago. Additionally, such programs support the achievement of environmental goals that the country has committed to internationally.
