The Dominican Republic is one of the countries with the highest accident rate in all of Latin America. The death rate due to traffic accidents in the Dominican Republic is very high: 30.9 fatalities per 100,000 inhabitants in 2019, which is why it is considered an initiative of great national interest.
The virtual detection of infractions and intelligent vehicle monitoring is proposed through a system of 81 electronic detection points located in thirteen (13) provinces of the country.
